Production History

Theatre Incognita debuted in Fall 2009 with David Mamet’s AMERICAN BUFFALO, then featured local women playwrights in Spring 2010, in three full productions. Beginning in Fall 2010 we introduced Concert Stagings (script in hand) which featured fully rehearsed stagings accompanied by musical guests (these are marked with [CS]); this allowed us to stage event-driven evenings with large casts. Spring Writes (run by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins) programs are lightly rehearsed readings.

From 2017 through 2020 Incognita was on hiatus. On our return in Spring 2021 we offered virtual streamed readings for Spring Writes, which we did again in Spring 2022.

Incognita looks forward to full, in-person stagings in 2023.
